Yes to reclaiming girlhood - and I love this dress, and the DIY ethos.

I wore a gold sparkly tshirt dress (Fearless/Midnights), gold converse, and a white denim jacket with A Lot Going On At The Moment embellished on the back in black and red (Red!) glitter vinyl. Dressed for favourite albums but also comfort! And I got my entire outfit off Vinted, and then resold it all on there too. The jacket went to a mum who is going to Wembley in August, so she could match with the tshirt she got her daughter 🥹

Comfort is actually key, the show is LONG. I have very not-cute purple trainers on beneath the gown.

I had originally planned to wear a top I made in tribute to the WANEGBT video - a red sleeveless number with frills on the sleeves, white polka dots and a little cat shaped button at the back - with black jeans and flat silver Mary Janes (a nod to the ME! video scene where Taylor is dancing in her 60s pink mini dress with the heart on it and wears a similar pair). Then the Liverpool weather had other ideas, and I ended up wearing my Country Music Hall of Fame T shirt - a replica of one Taylor wore on stage during the RED era - with jeans, trainers and my reputation hoodie over the top. So absolutely not what I had planned, but I still had a brilliant time nonetheless! And the top has made it to Swiftogeddon (as well as multiple non-Taylor events) so it wasn't entirely wasted...

This sounds excellent, UK weather be damned. RIP the outfits that didn't get worn - my second string outfit for Edinburgh was Taylor in "director mode" on the ATW10 video.

i love it!!! i’ve made three eras tour outfits—bejeweled, ivy, and my own version of this purple gown! it’s the first dress i’ve ever made and sewn from scratch☺️ it honestly is so rewarding to put in the time and effort for this thing that we care about, while discovering new ways to be creative!! even trading friendship bracelets in germany last week i was astounded by how beautiful and intricate (and clever!) people’s designs were🫶

I love the creativity and the costumes people come up with. I forgot to add that I ordered a special Enchanted bracelet from an Etsy maker who came up with a special braided design somehow.

This post is giving me severe anxiety because I decided to buy a (solo) ticket just a few days ago, and two days after that I had to get on a plane to fly to Germany and now I am sitting in a hotel room and the show is tomorrow and I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR. And by NOTHING I mean nothing Eras-esque. Hell, today I stopped by the train ticket office to make sure I have everything ready to get to the venue tomorrow and when I mentioned that I needed to get to Gelsenkirchen in time for the Taylor Swift concert one of the clerks started loudly fake-crying saying how jealous she is, and promptly pulled out her phone to show me what her daughter is wearing to the show tomorrow. (Hint: it was fancy.) And I don't even have FRIENDSHIP BRACELETS! 😭😭😭 That's what I get for leaving it this late. Oh well, hopefully I don't get turned away for not meeting the dress code. That's all I ask. 🫠

Noooo. I actually wrote out and deleted a para about how it really doesn’t matter what you wear! I promise you you won’t stand out and there’s no reason to feel self-conscious if you’re in normal clothes. I have just looked at my pictures again and everyone behind me in the stands is in normal clothes.

Ok phew, that is reassuring!

Definitely don’t worry at all - loads of people at my show were in “normal” clothes too! And for friendship bracelets, I barely brought any and some girls behind us gave us a whole bunch just for fun and to share :) you will have the best time whatever you wear!

All of this. I wore jeans and a reputation hoodie. I didn't make friendship bracelets (but the very kind lady in front of us handing them out from her hat basically told me and my sister to take our pick). Swifties are such a lovely generous bunch and so welcoming that it honestly won't matter what you wear - so many people at my show were wearing perfectly normal clothes too!

I am literally in the throng as I write this and the Germans have gone ALL OUT 😄

I think you shouldn’t have to justify the dress for anyone. You should keep it and wear it whenever you want! It’s beautiful anyway!
